How much is a school meal?
The cost of a school meal is £2.25.

What will my child have at lunch time?
Each day there is a choice of two main courses or a jacket potato with a choice of fillings, all served with vegetables and a carbohydrate. A pasta and sauce option is available on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.  There is a daily choice of healthy desserts including fresh fruit platter, yoghurts, or the pudding of the day. Fresh bread, a salad bar, milk and water are always available. Our menu rotates on a three weekly basis.

How do I pay for a school meal?
This is school specific. Oak Tree Primary School use an electronic payment system called ParentPay and your child's dinner money account should always remain in credit. 

How often do the menus change?
The primary school menus change twice per year after consultation. Our current menus meet the required government's School Food Plan nutritional standards. The menus will reflect seasonal variations and are subject to occasional change.

What happens if my child is ill and is not at school one day?
You will receive a credit for any meals not taken.

How do I find out about free school meals in Stockport?
Children from families in receipt of Income Support, Income-Based Job Seeker's Allowance and Child Tax Credit (but not Working Tax Credit) and whose annual income (as assessed by the Inland Revenue) does not exceed £16,190 are eligible for free school meals.

Advisors will be able to help and support with the completion of the application.

Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM)
The Government provides funding to enable primary schools in England to offer a free meal to every child in their Reception,  Year 1 and Year 2 classes. This provides parents with a potential annual saving of almost £400 per child.
