Oak Tree Primary School

Useful Information for Parents

Welcome to the Parent Information Page

Our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Co-ordinator (SENDCo) at Oak Tree Primary School is Mrs Sharon Scott.

Mrs Scott will oversee the support your child receives throughout their primary education. This may involve providing professional support for teachers and support staff in school so they can help your child progress and thrive in school. She liaises with and coordinates the role of our additional adults and outside specialists who work with our children, as well as overseeing bespoke planning and resources developed to support our children with more complex and specific needs. External agencies may include services such as Speech and Language Therapists (SaLT) and the Complex Speech Team, the Stockport Inclusion Team and the Hearing and Vision Service.

Please email senco@oaktree.stockport.sch.uk or contact the school office on 0161 485 1453 to arrange to speak with Mrs Scott, if you require any additional support or advice.

If your child is on the SEND register, termly SEND Review Meetings will be held in which parents and carers are invited in to discuss their child's progress and to co-produce and update their child's SEND Support Plan. Children contribute through Pupil Voice activities which is captured as part of each review cycle. Your child's One Page Profile will ensure all staff who work with your child know how best to support them.
