Oak Tree Primary School

Curriculum

Using the framework, 'Education for a Connected World' as a guide, our online safety curriculum is fully embedded throughout the school. A subject encompassing many strands, our children are taught about how to stay safe online, their digital footprint, how to manage online information and how to be digitally resilient through our Computing lessons, PSHE lessons, circle times, assemblies and themed weeks. We want our children to be able to benefit from the opportunities that being online can bring them but with a balance of being aware of their own and other's online behaviour and develop a range of strategies for staying safe online.

Our online safety curriculum is progressive, with children building upon their prior knowledge each year and incorporating this with new learning.

For more information on what the children learn in each year group, please see the document below.

Progression of skills pending.
