My name is Elaine Merrick. I have been a teacher for many years and I now have the role of Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENDCo) at Oak Tree. 

I support children, parents and staff in a variety of ways to ensure children who have special educational needs and their families get the right support at the right time ensuring that they feel fully involved in school and the community. I believe in working in partnership with families and professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes for our children. 

Part of my role is to work with many outside agencies who can support the children in school. I coordinate the sometimes complex provision some children need to be successful.
