The science vocabulary progression document supports teachers from EYFS to Year 6 in ensuring they teach key scientific terms and vocabulary in each unit. Teachers know when to introduce new vocabulary as well as build on from and revise those taught previously. This is broken down into topic specific vocabulary and terms that they would be expected to use when working scientifically. Children record key vocabulary in their glossaries at the back of their science books.
