Natalie Peters
Natalie Peters (Co-opted Governor)
I have two children that currently attend Oak Tree and one that has just moved on to high school. I also have first-hand experience of the SEND provision at Oak Tree.
I work in adult social care (domiciliary care) as a community development and training manager. I run regular social groups aimed at older people but for all adults, providing different activities and experiences for them. I am also in charge of staff training, making sure all staff training is up to date and that new staff are all fully inducted. More recently, during the pandemic I was the covid-19 champion, familiarising myself with all the new legislations, PPE requirements and sourcing, infection prevention and control and staff vaccinations.
I have worked in many different sectors previously, in a supermarket, as a bus driver, a cargo agent at Manchester Airport and as a Special Constable for Greater Manchester Police. These jobs have enabled me to come across people from all walks of life and enable me to see things from different perspectives.
I am currently the ROOTS secretary. I love to be able to help organise fun activities raising funds to help better the education and experiences of our children.
Natalie joined the Oak Tree Governing Board in Spring 2022 and is a member of the Resources and Premises Committee.
