Rachel Walters (Staff Governor)        

I joined the Oak Tree community as a Newly Qualified Teacher in 2016. I studied Early Years and Primary Education at Sheffield Hallam University and specialised in Inclusion. I am passionate about the Early Years and giving every child the best start to their Education.

In my second year of teaching I took on the role as PE coordinator. This has given me the opportunity to work with children across all year groups and outside agencies. I work closely with our sports coaches, Stockport 'SHAPES Alliance and other local primary schools. I thoroughly enjoy taking our children to events and supporting them with their health and fitness. My main focus is the children's well-being and providing opportunities for all children.

I am very proud to be a teacher at Oak Tree and I look forward to working with governors, staff and pupils to continue the growth of the school.
