Meet the SENDCo
My name is Sharon Scott and I am the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENDCo) and Assistant Headteacher at Oak Tree. I have been a teacher for over 18 years and have taught in three different schools, teaching children with a wide range of needs from ADHD and Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) to complex SEMH needs and Global Delay.
I support children, parents and staff in a variety of ways to ensure children who have special educational needs and their families get the right support, at the right time, ensuring they feel fully involved in school and the community. I believe in working in partnership with families and professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes for our children.
Part of my role is to work with external agencies who can support the children in school. I also coordinate the sometimes complex provision some children need to be successful.
I am your point of contact should you wish to discuss any concerns you have about your child.
